In April, we opened our new Dr. Schär bakery in Borgo. To celebrate this event, 380 guests came to Borgo for the festivities. In addition to employees and relatives from Borgo and colleagues from Burgstall and Trieste, Trentino politicians and journalists were also present at the event. 77 members of the AIC (Venice and Trento) were given the opportunity to see where "their bread" comes from. The formal part of the event was opened by Mr. Ladurner, who thanked the loyal, dedicated and capable staff and emphasized that we do a lot right, but always have to keep an eye on future developments in all of our endeavours.

In addition to employees and relatives from Borgo and colleagues from Burgstall and Trieste, Trentino politicians, such as the deputy president of the region, Alessandro Olivi, and the mayor of Borgo, Fabio Dalledonne, as well as journalists, attended the event. 77 Members of the AIC (Veneto and Trento) were given the opportunity to see where "their bread" comes from. The formal part of the event was opened by Mr. Ladurner, who thanked the loyal, dedicated and capable staff and emphasized that we do a lot right, but always have to keep an eye on future developments in all of our endeavours. Afterwards Peter Hintner and Alberto Contessotto took the stage to tell us more about the worldwide Dr. Schär works and, of course, the work in Borgo in particular. Finally, two politicians, Olivi and Dalledonne expressed their appreciation for the excellent cooperation with Dr. Schär in Borgo. Don Daniele gave the blessing and the speakers cut a red ribbon to mark the official inauguration of the new plant together.

Afterwards,  the guests enjoyed live music and a Gluten Free buffet in the warehouse of the new plant and on the forecourt, as well as the opportunity to go on a guided tour of the plant. Overall, it was a successful event that illustrated the community spirit - between colleagues, families and partners, as well as our consumers.
