A new future for the keto diet
In 2023, thanks to the funding of a research assistant scholarship, a multi-year project was launched to improve the Keto Diet based on medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil. The aim is to make this diet more tolerable and effective for people with disorders of fat maldigestion and malabsorption by studying the ketogenic potential of medium-chain fatty acids, their absorption and transport in the body, and by continuously monitoring ketosis.
