Cage-Free Eggs

A future without cages

From the end of November 2025, all eggs used in our production sites will come exclusively from cage-free farms. This milestone is the result of a journey rooted in responsibility and care for the future, which began in 2016 with the conscious decision to primarily use barn eggs, often anticipating regulations and market trends.

For us, safeguarding animal welfare is part of our daily commitment, because we believe that respect at every stage of production translates into the value and quality of what reaches people’s tables.

Every egg is a responsible choice

Egg sourcing has always been a central focus for us, approached with care and continuous improvements. We have developed dedicated checklists, conducted on-site inspections with expert veterinarians and worked closely with our suppliers to expand know-how and ensure ever-higher standards. Today, with the achievement of 100% cage-free eggs across all our production sites, we reaffirm our commitment to maintaining these high standards in future acquisitions. A tangible sign that responsibility, quality and sustainability guide every decision we make along the entire supply chain.

Nourishing change

This milestone demonstrates our tangible commitment to animal welfare, in line with the principles of the Lisbon Treaty, which recognises animals as sentient beings and assigns the EU an ethical duty to protect them. Choosing cage-free eggs allows hens to express natural behaviours, improving their quality of life and offering consumers more sustainable, transparent and responsible products.
