Our Targets

As pioneers in the gluten-free nutrition field, we've been working since day one to bring you the most delicious, wholesome and natural products. We set nutritional targets for all of our products based on national and international health and nutrition guidelines, nutrient profiles of comparable gluten-containing and gluten-free products, current nutrient profile of our products and technological feasibility.

We pledge that 95% of our new products satisfy the nutritional value parameters we set and strive to reduce the critical nutrients in the remaining 5% of products to an optimal level. For our breads and plain baked goods that means we aim to keep added sugar below 5g per serving. Sugar targets vary for sweet snacks and desserts, though we always aim to reduce sugar without increasing the level of saturated fat within a product and, where possible, by also reducing calories. Our sodium targets for baked goods, crackers, pastas and pizza crusts are below 496mg per serving, which support our consumers in keeping their sodium intake below the 5g of salt per day recommended by the WHO to reduce blood pressure and lower the risk for cardiovascular diseases and stroke. And while we set these maximum quantities for sugar and salt, our innovation research is always striving to formulate products with levels well below these targets.

Further, given the important role fiber plays in promoting digestive and overall health, we are committed to ensuring our products help customers meet their dietary fiber targets. All our breads, rolls, cereals, morning goods, cakes, muffins, biscuits, pizza crusts and pastas meet the FDA requirements for a “Good Source of Fiber” (3g fiber per serving).

Improving Quality of Life

As pioneers in the gluten-free nutrition field, we've been working since day one to bring you the most delicious, wholesome and natural products. Limited availability, high cost and poor nutritional quality of some gluten-free products can create a serious emotional and financial burden for patients with special dietary needs. Throughout our innovation process we never compromise on sensory quality or nutritional profile to ensure our consumers can eat a balanced, wholesome diet every day.

We thank you for trusting us with your health and are deeply grateful and honored to know our everyday products become a staple and lifeline for so many. Learn more about our gluten-free production process and our innovative Re-Cereal research projects at the Dr. Schär Institute.
