Field 100, a field that tells the story of our 100-year journey
To celebrate our 100th anniversary, in 2022 we created Field100, a special field where 100 different crops grew side by side. Thanks to collaboration with seed banks such as CropTrust and Genebank Tyrol, ancient varieties like local oats and buckwheat coexisted harmoniously with species from further afield, including Nepalese amaranth and Andean quinoa.
Cultivating a More Biodiverse Future
Field100 is our gesture of love towards nature: an oasis of biodiversity where hundreds of varieties intertwine, creating a harmonious habitat capable of hosting insects, bees and many other forms of life in a delicate natural balance. At the end of the harvest, the seeds—true guardians of history and future possibilities—were donated to the germplasm bank at the Laimburg Research Centre, so that they can be preserved and protected over time, continuing to inspire and nourish generations to come.
