Clean electricity

100% renewable energy

The green power driving our German sites

At our Apolda and Dreihausen sites, the energy that powers our operations comes exclusively from certified renewable sources, a concrete choice in support of a sustainable future. Every kilowatt-hour, nearly 8,000 MWh per year, is generated by our own photovoltaic systems or by carefully selected external solar farms.

This approach allows us to reduce direct and indirect CO₂ emissions related to purchased energy by 17%, representing a significant step towards our global goal of a 30% reduction over the next five years.

We innovate for a positive environmental impact

Every investment prioritises sustainability criteria, favouring innovative technologies that combine efficiency with environmental responsibility. This is complemented by upgrades to cooling systems, the adoption of LED lighting and constant monitoring of environmental performance. All these actions are part of an integrated strategy that ensures transparency, traceability and an ever more positive impact on the planet.

A model for a sustainable future

The German sites have recently completed the transition towards a more sustainable future, following the example of Postal, Laives and Borgo Valsugana in Italy, Curitiba in Brazil and Klagenfurt in Austria, which have long been fully powered by green electricity. We proudly anticipate national and European energy regulations and strategies, integrating certified renewable sources, solar installations and PPA agreements. Through upgrades to cooling and lighting systems, we combine environmental responsibility with economic efficiency. This climate responsibility guides every decision we make, promoting transparency, constant monitoring and a best-practice model to be progressively extended to all our sites worldwide.
