Building the future:
new homes for a growing community
In 2025, the Anton Schär Foundation chose to become one of the founding members of Stiftung Wohnen Südtirol, an initiative of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano created to provide a concrete response to the need for affordable housing. Through a financial investment, the Foundation – represented by Esther Ausserhofer – joined a network of institutions and social organisations to support an ambitious project: to create homes for the middle class, attract young people and skilled workers, and strengthen the social fabric of South Tyrol. The first step is the construction of 30 new housing units in Bressanone (BZ), launched in spring 2025.
