The focus of our research and development department is to meet the highest standards of quality and safety to ensure enjoyment and outstanding taste. An important step in this direction was the transition of our research and development department to the AREA Science Park in Trieste. This scientific community with over 1,000 scientists offers cutting edge equipment that help us exploring advanced raw ingredients and technologies to develop around 30 new products and recipes each year. This specialized and highly developed research facility is the reason why Dr. Schar enjoys a leading role in research and development.
Before a product goes into production, it is evaluated by trained tasters for flavor, perfect consistency, aroma and appetizing appearance. In recent times, sensory tests have become increasingly important as customers become ever more discerning. Each of our gluten-free products must always be tested against the tastiest conventional foods in its category. That is the only way to ensure that our customers don't miss out on taste.
