As a pioneer in the field of gluten-free foods, Dr Schär has always placed great importance on research and development, which are at the heart of the whole company. Our Research and Development team dedicate its resources to finding solutions that are both innovative and ever better quality, and provide those who have coeliac condition or particular nutritional requirements with an improved quality of life.
2003 marked a milestone in the history of our Research and Development activity with the creation of the Dr.Schär R&D Centre at Trieste's AREA Science Park; the park is one of the most important when it comes to science and technology at national and international level. The Dr.Schär R&D Centre currently employs 12 researchers and developers, houses cutting edge industry laboratories and regularly collaborates with leading universities and research centres both in Italy and abroad. It is thanks to this highly qualified and dynamic research location that Dr. Schär can now boast a leading role in the field of gluten-free products and other nutritional requirements.
