Our R&D team, made up of 12 researchers and developers, and in operation since 2003 at the renowned Area Science Park in Trieste, dedicates its resources to finding innovative solutions for those with coeliac condition and other specific nutritional requirements, through continual improvements in gluten-free product quality and the development of new products. The focus of the Dr. Schär R&D Centre is on the study of new, alternative ingredients, the development of new recipes and the use of innovative technologies to create products that are consistently improving from a nutritional and sensory viewpoint. This is the central mission for the whole Dr.Schär Group when it comes to all research and development projects, the results of which are brought to life in our production locations in Italy, Germany, the USA and in Spain and also by the external bakers that produce our brands' products, according to our specifications.
