The parent company head office and company headquarters is also one of the major production facilities, specialising in gluten-free flours and bread. It all began in South Tyrol. The history of the production of gluten-free food products started here.

Research and development headquarters
In 2003 the research and development department moved into the AREA Science Park in Trieste. This leading research complex with over 1,000 scientists provides an inspiring scientific community for our professional team. Our researchers and developers also have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment. The science park is where they develop new products and recipes, and try out new technologies and raw ingredients. This specialist and highly productive research facility is the reason why today Dr. Schär has a leading role in research and development, giving it a major competitive advantage.
