Since 2006, Dr. Schär has also been manufacturing its products in Germany. Its two German production facilities supply not only the German market but also the northern and central European markets.
The German production facilities were both set up when it was decided that the South Tyrol site was no longer sufficient to keep up with the rapidly increasing demand. Since then, significant investment has been made in both sites: the technology has been continually improved and production capacities increased. Production at the facilities is primarily focused on bread varieties and bakery specialities.
